The ULI Energy Efficiency Exchange
Watch a video giving an overview of the Exchange on the homepage.
The ULI Energy Efficiency Exchange, endowed by Sir Stuart Lipton, creates a web exchange for industry leaders to access and share practical, current information and best practice around energy efficiency, particularly for existing buildings. CLick here here for an outline of the project phases.
"Energy has rightly become one of the primary concerns of the decade. In the future most occupiers, investors and tenants will need buildings which are highly energy efficient both in their construction and use. ULI has joined with leading commentators in the field to demonstrate what can be achieved now using existing technology and methods to save energy."
Sir Stuart Lipton, Co-Founder, Chelsfield
The Exchange Project Team
Once it was decided that Sir Stuart's endowment would be used to create a website that covers all aspects of energy efficient retrofitting of buildings, ULI were set the task of getting the project officially started, with regular meetings with Sir Stuart. Alex Notay, Vice President of Strategic Programmes at ULI Europe, has been the project leader from its inception, and employed the help of Josie Baum, now the Exchange Project Manager, to help to deliver ULI and Sir Stuart's vision in early 2009. Chris Trott and Sara Turnbull, Director and Senior Consultant at Arup in the Building Sustainability group joined the team later that year when Arup became official partners of The Exchange.
As well as the Exchange core team, there is also the Exchange Advisory Board and Peer Review Panel who help to maintain a high standard of objective content on the site. If you are interested in joining either the board or panel, then please get in touch with Josie.Baum@uli.org.
